Sangiovese Rosé
Sangiovese was purposefully selected for our Rosé due to it's varietal charm, savoury tannins and textured mouth feel
Description
Produced from Sangiovese grapes grown at Chapel Hill’s Kangarilla vineyard on the eastern boundary of McLaren Vale at the foot of the Mt Lofty Ranges.

Awards & Reviews for recent releases
2009 89 pts – Very pale pink hue announces this as a delicate, restrained, French-style rose (despite the Italian grape). Strawberry and floral fragrance: light-bodied and dry, ending cleanly and inviting another sip. Lip-smacking and refreshing. More, please. Adelaide Review – Top 100, 2009
2009 91 pts – Delicate pink – and beautiful, but extra thrill in its subtle rose fragrance then a fresh, crunchy cranberry fruit bite so it holds its own against a good antipasto platter. Dry, lively and refreshing. Tony Love – The Advertiser, 2010
2008 McLaren Vale’s aptitude for Italian varietals was evident in this energetic rendition of Tuscany’s most celebrated grape. It’s intensity made it a “Sangiovese on steroids” for Louise, packed with “black raspberry, cinnamon spice, home-made jam and herbs”. Pete found it “simple and direct”, with “dark cherry, meat and herbs” and both tasters approved of what Louise called its “softly powdered” tannins. Huon Hooke Sydney Morning Herald, 2010
2006 Silver - Class 6, McLaren Vale Wine Show, 2006
2006 4 Stars - July 2007, Brilliant pink; a nice attack immediately announcing the presence of savoury, spicy cherry Sangiovese; relatively dry. Quality Rosé. Rating 89 James Halliday, 2007
